#1 Stretching exercises
One can attain a greater height by employing stretching exercises. It may well take a lot of time considering the fact that there are 3 developmental levels which comprise of the following:

1st developmental level: Muscular and Tonal development of the back muscles

2nd developmental level: Decompression of the spine & Straightening

3rd developmental level: Progressive spinal disc regeneration & thickening.

Stretching exercises may permanently make you taller by at least 3 inches.

Slowly and gradually with the passage of time and appropriate implementation of the exercises, the discs in the spinal column and the cartilage supporting your lower torso especially the legs while in the upper torso arms and the spinal column will start thickening providing a balanced and taller body.

Advantages: You get to experience a height increase of 3 inches. Exercise also provides several health benefits like healthy and boosted metabolism, lesser body fat as well as improved immune system.

Disadvantages: Exercises consume a lot of time.

#2 Supplements
The appropriate supplements hold as much importance as the correct exercises. There are several supplements but the majority of them don’t contain the necessary ingredients that fuel growth.

Our HeightGainer Pro™ supplements have the essential ingredients for growing taller including amino acids, glucosamine and multivitamins.

After years of thorough research and development we have manufactured the finest supplement available to increase your height: HeightGainer Pro ™.

You may increase your height by an extra 2-3 inches by correct usage of the appropriate supplements.

Advantages: You achieve a height gain of 3 inches. It may be consumed with your preferred drink. The ingredients it contains also enhance energy, boost vigor, and perk up focus. It is also helpful for people of virtually all age groups.

Disadvantages: Fairly costly but aids you in growing taller.

#3 Human Growth Hormone
One of the most costly drugs being manufactured today in the pharmaceutical industry is the synthetic human growth hormone. Before biomedical research and technological developments, surgeons would operate on dead bodies and eradicate the growth hormone from the brain tissues.

In the modern era, synthetic human growth hormone is scientifically engineered in medical labs. It can increase height fruitfully, primarily in children suffering from low hgh levels.

Advantages: It helps in increasing your height by more or less 5 inches. Results happen to be permanent and the application is rather quick.

Disadvantages: They are really costly and necessitate the use of needle injections. They also exhibit side-effects only function in the correct manner if your growth plates still happen to be open. It increases height by about five inches in the span of many months.

#4 Limb elongation
Limb lengthening is a surgical course of action through which either internal or external rods put inside the limbs require to be adjusted every so often. This procedure is now being carried out for cosmetic reasons as well outside the United States.

Advantages: It helps increase your height up to 12 inches everlastingly. The length Shorter legs can increase significantly.

Disadvantages: It is very expensive. Most of the height increase is aimed at the lower torso especially legs. There is a danger of infections. Hospital bills can prove to be be costly and a lot of time is needed.

#5 Stimulators of the Human Growth Hormone
Amino acid combinations are HGH stimulators that fuel the pituitary gland to secrete the human growth hormone. This process proves to be a lot more effective and safe in comparison with the costly synthetic growth hormone. Your body produces HGH in a natural manner so there is not a danger of various side-effects.

Advantages: You are guaranteed to get a height increase by up to 2 inches. It decreases the amounts of fat deposits and enhances the rate of metabolism.

Disadvantages: They function on people of a younger age more often than not.

Combining Methods For Optimum Height Increase
If you long to attain a height increase permanently, you require to combine at least a couple of the above mentioned methods in the appropriate manner.

Stretching may well be the easiest exercise for growing taller that can be done without employing any equipment. Our entire site is dedicated to showing you various height increase exercises that depict exact details for the various stretching methods necessary for growing taller.

Growing Taller by Hanging
Hanging depends upon the decompression due to gravity which works on the spinal column to attain an increase in height. There is no rocket science involved, all that you need is to hang on a bar for 10 seconds or more. It may be quite hard to find such a bar at home which you can use for this exercise. A well-liked hanging mechanism known as Door Gym needs a mere door frame to make your personal hanging bar without employing any nuts, bolts or nails.

Growing Taller by doing Body upturn
Body inversion may be achieved by employing either an Inversion Table or Inversion Boots. As the human body body gets upturned, gravity causes the stretching of the spine as well as the knee cartilage simultaneously. In this way you will certainly be in an upside down position much longer as compared to mere bar-hanging which you can only manage as long as your muscles don’t get fatigued. Despite the fact that inversion table is expensive and also requires space for its operation, the results it has produced have been emphatic for those who have persisted with it.

Growing Taller by swimming
To elongate your spine during swimming, you must prefer the breast stroke. It turns out to be the perfect stroke since your legs are kicking in one direction while your arms are stretching in the other direction. As this occurs simultaneously, this causes the increase in length of your spine much better than various other swimming moves. Another factor behind swimming being good is that being in a water body efficiently neutralizes the gravitational effects on your spine.

Growing Taller by Sleeping with lifted bed bottom
Lift the underside part of your bed where your feet happen to be 2-4 inches high. This causes you to use gravity to pull up your spinal column unlike the time when gravity exerts a pulling force on your spine while you are standing. Having your head beneath your heart, gravity will cause a thorough blood flow to the thyroid gland which aids in the creation of growth hormones.

No matter what you have heard you can still <del>increase your height</del> Grow Taller. So, contrary to popular opinion it is actually possible to grow in height if you really want to. We are going to show you how it is possible to grow in height by up to 2” and it is all based on research that we have gained from books, articles and on the internet. We know of a model who needed to grow 2” in order to meet the standards required by the modeling business and she achieved this after 9 months of following the exercises we describe in this article. She had a friend who also followed her example. She needed to grow as she wanted to be air attendant and she was only 5’ 2”. She followed the exercises and although she was already 21 years old she gained a further 3” in height. This shows that regardless of your age it is still possible to increase your height – if you really want.

So we are going to show you in this article how you can grow a few extra inches in height by following a specific, planned diet which is nutritious and balanced, by following a set of exercises based on the principles of yoga for around 20 to 30 minutes each day, by making good sleeping habits for yourself and keeping to them, and by one or two other healthy ideas as well. So let’s get going with it.

One point to make here is that many people think that once you have reached the end of puberty then your body has stopped growing and that is going to be your height for the remainder of your life. This article, though, goes to show that even in your 30s it is still possible to increase your height and that the end of puberty is not the end of growing.

The theory of it kind of goes like this: Your long bones all have two growth plates in them, one at each end of the bone, and it is these that grow throughout puberty. Most of your height comes from your legs and it is the growth in the bones here that make the most significant difference to your height. The growth bones fuse, and stop growing, when men are aged 24-28 and women are aged 18-22 (approximately) so it does become impossible for these areas to grow any further. If you are under this age you can actually stimulate your growth hormones in a way that we will explain later and this can lead to further growth in your legs and your spine.

However we can achieve growth in other areas of the body. For example the knee cartilage can grow thicker and deeper if you give it special training and exercise it in the correct way. The cartilage will adapt to the pressure put upon it by the correct forms of exercise and will remain expanded subsequently.

But the greatest area of <del>height</del> growth is in the spine itself as, with a small area of exception, the bones of the spine do not fuse together. There are 33 different bones in your spine, called the vertebrae and these are held together with tough fibers called ligaments. Only the lowest 9 vertebrae of the spine are fused together, into two separate units called the sacrum and the coccyx. These form part of the pelvis and are rigid. However, the remaining vertebrae remain separate and never fuse together (unless this is done surgically) and these form the neck, back and lumbar areas of the spine.

In between these moving vertebrae, all 24 of them, are the spinal discs made of cartilaginous material. The depth of these pads, their thickness, is part of what determine your height and it is these areas of your body that we can grow, thereby increasing your height. These 25 discs account for 25% of your total height so you can see how a small increase in their size can greatly affect your overall height. The greater the depth of these discs, the greater your height. You will have noticed how older people appear to shrink as they grow older – this is because the fluid in the discs becomes less and the discs grow smaller. It is the discs that shrink, not their bones, so that is why it is possible to increase the size of your discs and thereby improve your overall height.

The basic principle behind this article, therefore, is that you can improve your height by stretching your height, relaxing the pressure upon the vertebral cartilage and allowing them to take in more fluid. This growth in the size of the cartilage will make your spine itself grow longer and will also give it added strength and resilience.

Exercises that you must follow to Grow Taller

It is important to follow a series of general stretching exercises as they give all parts of your body a good workout. This increases the general flexibility of your body and gently stretches all of the joints in your body. While working on specific parts of your body it is also important to give your whole body an exercise regime so that you achieve balance. These exercises are based upon the tried and tested principles of Yoga – so if you have ever taken Yoga classes before you know the benefits for your body and mind from following them.

Exercises for the spine are going to be the most effective in increasing your height for the reasons described above. They can be performed by all people and we recommend swimming and hanging as effective methods of exercising the spine.

Exercising the knees and expanding the cartilage in these areas of the body can be as effective as spinal exercise in increasing your height. However, we believe it is important to use both methods and to fully exercise both knees and spine so that you grow in proportion. We recommend exercises call Micro Fracture and Ankle Weights as these are very effective.

All of the above will help in your search to grow in height but you may also be able to find other exercises that suit you better. One of the most important things to do is to find the regime that suits you and that you are happy with. Other people we have talked to have found Pilates to be very effective – it is just a question of finding the right exercise platform for you.

Human Growth Hormone (HGH)

Exercise not only makes you fitter and stretches out your muscles and cartilage but it also stimulates your pituitary gland (which is located in the area of your brain) into producing more of the natural hormone called Human Growth Hormone. This gland controls many areas of your body – it is a pea-sized gland that lies just above your mouth, underneath the brain. HGH is a protein made up of 191 building blocks known as amino acids and it is this that is responsible for promoting growth in all the areas of your body. As the pituitary gland releases HGH into your bloodstream, it passes all around your body and growth factors, other hormones and chemicals, are produced by different areas of your body. These are the cause of growth in your body.

Once you have reached a certain age, described above as around 24, you can no longer use HGH to grow your bone as they are fused and no further growth is possible. At this point you should focus more on exercise of the spine and the cartilage in the knees and ankles. If you want to find out if your bones have fused or not you can check this out with your doctor by using X rays of the long bones in your body – your doctor will be able to advise you.

If you are still able to grow your bones, having done the above research, you will need to optimize its production through diet, exercise and by adopting a regular sleeping pattern. These are all incredibly strong influences upon your body and are all completely natural.

Diet Needed for Increasing Height

You ought to avoid all foods with a high carbohydrate content. High intakes of carbohydrates leads to a condition called hyperglycemia which leads to the pituitary gland closing down and the level of HGH being released into your bloodstream lessening. This is the last thing you want to happen. Hyperglycemia leads to an increase in insulin levels as the body tries to deal with the increased carbohydrate levels. Insulin and IGF-1 (which is stimulated by HGH and accounts for growth n your body) cancel each other out and so the beneficial effects of HGH are negated until the insulin level goes down.

Eating between meals is a bad thing as your insulin level always goes down after you have digested your meal. Taking in a sweet drink or eating a biscuit is going to raise your digestion again and your insulin levels will go up, stopping the HGH form being effective again. You want to allow the IGF-1 to work for as long as possible so do not damp it down with higher insulin levels as the result of snacking. Just eat moderate amounts of carbohydrates are part of your meals (as they play an important part in your health) but refrain from eating them between meals. Food that has a lot of fat has also been found to suppress the production of HGH also.

Increase Height Exercise

It is widely recognized that exercise stimulates the natural production of HGH but there is little understanding of how this happens. Some researchers have suggested that activity raises levels in adrenaline, nitric oxide, blood lactate and nerve activity and that it is this stimulates the pituitary gland into producing HGH, either singly or together. Other research has shown that you need to exercise at above blood acid (blood lactate) level for 10 minutes in order to raise the levels of HGH in your blood stream. This results in a massive boost in HGH levels, the highest in response to any single activity, but this will gradually go down over a period of one hour. If you can perform this sort of activity regularly, throughout the day, in multiple activity sessions this will maximize your HGH production.

One researcher showed that three exercise sessions in a day, with 2 to 3 hour periods of rest in between each, led to the highest releases of HGH into the body. Another researcher found that sprints on an exercise bike were also highly effective. You must, though, make sure you drink plenty of water if you follow this exercise path as it has been shown that dehydration inhibits the production of HGH.

Grow Taller by Getting Enough Sleep

The moment when the pituitary gland is busiest and is producing the most HGH is generally one hour after you fall asleep at night. This is the moment at which 95% of your growth is achieved. Good quality sleep, and lots of it, is therefore vital for healthy growth. If the quality of sleep is not good then there will be less HGH in your body and this will lead to less growth and lower fitness levels. To sleep well you need a good bed, a dark and peaceful environment and a balanced diet with an adequate level of protein. This will enable optimal conditions for the production of HGH while you sleep. For most people a good night’s sleep is around 8 hours long.

Growing Taller Supplements

You can artificially increase your HGH levels with supplements, injections and chemicals such as those used by athletes and body builders. However, these are not natural ways and should only be used under the guidance of a qualified doctor.

There are supplements, however, that everyone can and should take. These are needed by your body if you are going to expect it to grow – the body needs materials to build with and will not grow unless it has the material for doing so. So these supplements work alongside the exercise regime and give your muscles, bones and cartilages the substances with which to grow and develop. The best grow taller supplement you can take for height increase is called HeightGainer Pro. This is an all natural product. Please CLICK HERE to find out more about it!

Calcium is needed by the bones in your body in order to grow and be sustained. The bone in your body is being replaced, naturally, on a day by day basis as old cells die and are replaced by new ones. And new bone, required for growth, is also drawing upon the supplies of calcium in your body to sustain itself. Calcium makes your bones strong through increasing the density of your bones – it is vital to the health of your skeleton. It should be taken in various quantities through your life and these are our recommendations:

1-3 years old 500mg per day

4 – 8 years old 800mg per day

9-18 years old 1300mg per day

19-50 years old 1000mg per day

51 years + 1200mg per day

(Dietary Reference Intakes, National Academy of Science, 1997)

NB you should not take more than 2500mg of calcium per day as this may not be safe. Increased calcium may lead to kidney stones and while this is the only known side effect it can be a dangerous and painful condition.

Vitamin D is also necessary for the growth of healthy and strong bones as it assists the body in absorbing and using calcium. During puberty, while the skeleton is growing and the major bone development of the body is occurring, it is vital to combine energetic exercise with the appropriate levels of calcium and vitamin D. This is because vitamin D assists the absorption of calcium into the body as it passes through the intestine – if the vitamin D is not present the calcium can pass through the body and not be used. However, it is important not to exceed 2000 IU per day of vitamin D from a combination of food and supplements without guidance from a doctor as this may damage your health.

Glucosamine and Chondroitin are both <del>grow taller</del> supplements that promote healthy growth of the cartilage in your body. They are both present already in your body but research has shown that if their levels are raised through supplements then cartilage growth will be increased. Together, these supplements help cartilage to grow healthy and strong and help cartilage repair itself when damaged. While they are not in any sense painkillers they do have some anti inflammatory properties and will certainly assist in the regeneration of cartilage material.

Recommended dosages are 1500mg per day of glucosamine and 1200mg per day of chondroitin, both is doses divided across the day.

Multi vitamins contain all the various vitamins and minerals that the body needs for growth and maintenance along with those listed above. However, the body will not absorb all that the multi vitamin supplement that you take in – over 80% of it will pass out of your body in urine or feces and will not be used by your body. Obviously you want to get the maximum benefit from taking multi vitamins so we recommend the following to assist in this:

Take supplements in liquid form rather than tablets. The absorption of liquids is far more effective than solids.

If you take tablets then ensure you drink a full glass of water at the same time, either with or after a meal.

Taking the supplement across the day is more effective than taking it all at once. If you can divide it up into three doses, taken across the day, it will work much better for you. This is particularly true of calcium so try to take smaller doses but more frequently.

Take vitamin D at the same time as the calcium as your absorption rate will increase dramatically.

Vitamin C also helps with the absorption of calcium so either take a vitamin C tablet at the same time as the calcium supplement or eat a vitamin C rich fruit such as an orange.

Alcohol diminishes the effectiveness of supplements so do not drink alcohol at the same time as taking supplements. If you wait a number of hours (say 4 or 5) then the alcohol will not interfere with your body’s absorption of the minerals.

Lemon also reduces the effectiveness of supplements, it appears. So do not drink lemonade of other drinks with lemon in them at the same time as taking supplements.

All sugary drinks (such as lemonade, Coke, Pepsi and Mountain Dew) are high in phosphorus and this leads to a higher level of calcium in your urine. This is obviously the opposite of what you want so you should drink plenty of water and avoid sugary soft drinks.

Junk foods, alcohol, soft drinks, caffeine and foods containing white flour all increase the amount of calcium that leaves your body as waste and lower the level of calcium absorption. They should all be avoided as much as possible.

If you have kidney stones, or a history of kidney stones, do not increase your calcium intake.

Height Increase thru Posture Correction

Make every effort to stand well and walk straight. Pull in your stomach, hold your shoulders well and push out your chest. Keep your stomach muscles tight and breathe deeply. Stand tall and you will feel tall. It is hard at first because we are used to being relaxed but it is important to hold your position and to stretch out your spine. It may seem you are walking like a soldier but you must get used to walking and standing as tall as you can and keeping your body upright. It is a simple thing to do but posture is an important part of how you feel – the taller you make yourself, and hold it, the better you will feel in yourself.

Grow Taller Equipment

You should think about getting suitable equipment to help you in this task. Some of the exercises can be done with equipment you have readily to hand but other exercises will require specialist equipment. We recommend that some of the following will be useful to you and that it pays to buy good quality, professional equipment. Cheap equipment will not last; though they may be economical to start with you may find yourself needing to replace it as you work harder using it.

Indoor Gym

Inversion Table

Inversion Boots

Ankle Weights

Weightlifting Wrist Straps

Stationary Bicycle

Final Thoughts on Height Increase

Growing taller is not easy and it takes a lot of time and effort. We calculate that it will take at least one month to grow by half an inch if you use all of the activities listed above. Then you have to maintain the exercise and supplements in order to maintain the improvement. So it is not a one off exercise, it is something you have to keep working at and maintaining in order to make the most of the effort you put in.

As you begin this process it is tempting, at first, to measure yourself every day and see if you have grown at all. We recommend that you do not measure yourself at all for the first month as you may be discouraged if you do not see an immediate difference in your height. We cannot say exactly how fast you will grow as everybody is different and we all grow at different rates. However the best time to measure yourself is in the evening.

Remember that exercise is most effective when done in small amounts but regularly. Start small and do not over exert yourself or strain your muscles. Start with small weights and with slow repetitions of exercises and then build it up slowly, bit by bit. If it is too painful and stressful you will be tempted to give up so take it slowly at first and make it part of your normal, daily life. Put the different activities into different times of the day and make them all part of your daily routine and practice – that way it will be much easier for you.

If you need any advice just get in touch with me through positing your questions in the comments section. There are no stupid questions! So stand up tall, exercise regularly and eat well – it will help you grow to what you want to be!

Yes, it surely is what you read. There are in fact a few exercises that are proven to aid you grow taller in a significant manner, that you may carry out from home. These exercises are primarily aimed at increasing the size of your spinal column, and amongst all exercises, it has the greatest rates of success. I have been employing them to get a height increase with a lot of success, and I suggest you try this as well.

1) Hanging drill
This plainly necessitates hanging from a bar which may be attached across a door frame) for a small span of time. It depends on gravity to cause decompression of your spine to achieve a height increase. Initially, It may be difficult to hang for a long time, so first do a 10 seconds drill. While hanging from the bar, try stretching your body as much as possible, and incline your head in a backward direction, as this exerts as a ‘pulling-up’ effect on the spinal column.

2) Body Inversions
This needs an inversion machine and a good deal of space in your dwelling. Although it is expensive, the results coming out from consistent usage of this machine is much fruitful, because you may invert for a longer time than you can do bar hanging. I am myself an owner of this machine, and it has assisted me greatly in my quest to get a height increase so far.

3) Swimming methods
Watching Michael Phelps closely, it is apparent that he possesses an extraordinarily long torso. This is because swimming in point of fact nullifies any gravitational force on the human body, and particular swimming styles such as Breaststroke is perfect due to the fact that while the legs are kicking away, the arms are stretched in the outward direction. Continual and frequent swimming will increase the length of your spinal column and also lengthen your torso.

These are some simple tips that can be put into practice straight away. Given that you don’t have the swimming facilities at home, you can always take hold of a bar and fix it across your door. I have been practicing this on a regular basis and can swear an oath for it.

As you are going through this, do you observe that you are bringing your neck forward a little bit, or contracting your shoulders or your lower backside? A teacher of Alexander Technique teacher can free you of this type of a worry.

Alexander Technique is based on the identification and control in exercise over physical practices involving too much tension, internal stress, posture, movement and inhalation/expiration as well as thinking habits that get in the way of natural comfort and run in daily activities and skillful performance.

Balance is essential for successful incorporation of movement. Humans move in a way that the head leads our motion along the spinal column, and the body also follows behind, such a movement is an upward and important direction as a consequence of gravity. At the time of our birth, our head-spine balance is inborn, however with the passage of time we start losing this balance because of continuous stress and mal-adaptive adjustment to our surroundings.

The Alexander technique emphasizes on bringing back an impartial and lively posture. Posture is considered as a position of sitting or standing, an active posture maintains an association involving the neck, head and torso during movement and repeatedly varies in reply to the demands of the motion, while sustaining a fundamental honesty or standard.

The knee cartilages have the ability to lengthen, thicken, adjust and alter. Through constant exercising so as to apply strain on the knee cartilage, one can nurture the cartilages into proper bones in a process known as endochondral ossification.

Majority of the bones are basically created from cartilage. As a fetus, the skeleton comprises of cartilage and fibrous and bone-like structures. With the passage of time such structures change into real bones as the calcified bone matrix replaces the cartilage. This alteration and changing can occur due to the constant action of bone forming cells known as osteoblasts and the bone resorbing cells known as osteoclasts. The whole system of bone sculpting and resorbing makes the bones change their shape size and density as a result of injury or stress.

The knee cartilage may lengthen and thicken provided it is time after time trained under stress with the right exercises. The cartilage shall slowly but surely become accustomed to the stress and lengthen so as to sustain the force.
Knee-targeting height increase exercises:

Sitting on ankle support
-Initiate with 10-15 lbs of Ankle Weight on both legs and steadily augment the weight as your knees get stronger. Ensure the knees are fully protruding off the bed or chair edge, so they may be totally pulled in the direction of the gravity. Your feet must also be kept away from the ground, loft the bed if required or sit on several pillows. Try sitting for 30 minutes or more to maintain a constant stress. Check out the picture below for correct sitting position. The upper part of your body may lay flat at rest with pillow on top of the head so you can go through a book or watch tv. You have a good time like this.

-The knee muscle must be massaged so as to aid in blood circulation once the sitting session is completed.
-Try to keep away from or reduce any pressure on your knee soon after the sitting. As you never desire to lose knee cartilage by walking, try to relax them for a long time or do this right before going off to sleep.
-Some determined people vying for a height increase even go to bed with ankle weights. However, this is not the right way, since majority of people find it very tough to sleep with weight hanging on their lower body, peaceful sleep is extremely essential for the growth of your body and re-generation.
-In case you experience any numbness or painful feeling in any area of your legs, cease exercising immediately and relax to prevent injury. The ankle weights may turn out to be too weighty for you, but you should not lose patience and you need to realize that you won’t grow taller in a fortnight.

Ankle weight Kicking
Kick with Ankle Weight attached to lower part of the thigh. Initially put 5 lbs of ankle weights on both legs, steadily raise the load as you feel more and more strength in your knees. Kick low in the direction of the gravitational force of the earth. A minimum of 10 minutes of kicking is required on both legs at a normal pace, steadily boost the speed as your knees feel more strength. A couple of kicking positions in one particular motion are shown in the 2 photos below; don’t forget to kick at a low trajectory and in the direction of earth’s gravity.

High seat Cycling
Employ a Stationary Bicycle or an open-air bike, lift the seat to a certain tolerable height so that your toes can only just have a control over the pedals. Lift the seat slowly higher after you get accustomed to the seat height to stretch the knee cartilage even more.

In the beginning it might result in soreness in the groin region when cycling on a lifted seat as you are not accustomed to it yet. Try to put some stuffing on the seat to provide a soft cushion like a soft padding or towel. Do not hasten it up, begin at a reasonable height and increase it slowly and gradually as your body acclimatizes to it. Patience is the key and you must take care to prevent injury.

Learn how to gain height with our awesome grow taller exercises. There are lots of ways that you can increase your height without thinking about invasive surgery or having to see a doctor for uncomfortable medical treatment that might pose all sorts of risks to you in terms of side effects. You could make some minor adjustments to your lifestyle that might impact your height to the extent that you can grow up to a couple of inches, even after your teenage years. The body can increase in height naturally right up until you are 30 years old just by thinking about eating better, getting a little more rest and doing substantially more exercise.

An important part of exercising is stretching, particularly if you are trying to increase your height. Hanging from a pose is probably one of the easiest ones you can do but might not be the simplest. This stretch takes time and effort if it is going to help you. Here you simply hang from a bar with your palms facing forwards and let gravity do the rest. Repeating this stretch on a regular basis will help you stretch and elongate your spine so that you have room to grow.

It may seem obvious, but correcting your posture so that your spine is a little straighter can increase your height almost instantaneously. If you can stand with your back against a wall and push your shoulders right back into it for a certain amount of time each day for a number of weeks then you will find that you begin to stand a little straighter. For people who slump in office chairs each day this can be a fantastic way of overcoming back problems and increasing how tall you appear to be. The fact that you will find this position difficult to hold is quite telling, but consider this – this is how you should always be stood!

One final move you can try is a stretch with your hips. Because we are seated throughout the day whilst we are at work or at home, our hips can tighten which makes us look a little shorter. If you can stretch your hips out you will overcome this tightness and improve your height. To do this all you need to do is kneel on the floor on one leg with the other behind you. Pushing your hips forward you will start to feel a stretch on your back leg. After this you then change legs so that you can feel the stretch on you other leg. Again, it is important to repeat this over time and on a regular basis, because this movement alone can make you look a whole inch taller!
